So Christmas is over and I had a great one. No fighting, no yelling, no one getting emotionally scarred. Best Christmas I've had ever. Seriously.
Honey's family is very gracious and loving. They are what I consider a normal family. They actually care what happens to you and not what they can get you to do for them. I have a hard time sometimes, I'm not used to it, I tend to get surprised easily when it comes to people caring what happens to you and not because of what you can do for them.
So here the adults get a stocking stuffed to the hilt, and sometimes things that can't fit into the stocking and the kids get both stockings and presents. The Little Lady got some great stuff, some of which I picked out and other things that others picked out. She got a book that teaches drawing a different way, I think she'll learn a lot from it, and a drawing kit that came with a box to keep her tools in. She also got this great little Mannikin (how it's spelled, I think it's the brand name) that she can pose in different positions and learn to draw. It's even a female and we were teasing her that she could make clothes for it since she has two sewing kits. She got some other great stuff, too. Can't be beat when you are getting things you want.
I got some great stuff myself. I had picked out a bracelet that can be a necklace that actually fits me and I got socks that are warm and cozy. I also got gloves that I love because they are colorful. I got these lovely slipper socks that I have on now that are keeping my feet warm and cozy. I also got, thanks to my honey, the next book in the Kushiel saga - Kushiel's Justice. So look for the review when I've completed reading it.
Christmas was great this year. I hope to have many more like this.
