So tomorrow my lovely daughter will be escorted, by me, to the gate at the airport tomorrow in order to fly to Ohio. Why on earth she wants to go there with all that humidity is the question I keep asking. Her friends are there, school is out, she wants to go. "Grandpa" is more than willing to keep her for a couple of months, and even take her to and from Alabama to visit the cousins.
Did you know that it costs $150 bucks extra to send a 13 year old across the country alone? $75 on the way there and $75 on the way back because she is an unaccompanied minor. It's not like they are going to assign a freaking flight attendant to her or anything though. No one who isn't schedule to be working the flights will be drafted into coming in order to take care of her. Everyone will be doing their normal schedules and duties that they always do. They may keep their eyes open around her to make sure she isn't harrassed. I think that's pretty much it. I may ask more questions regarding the 'services' provided for her and then ask them why it's so extremely expensive. I'll post any answers I receive. If anyone knows, let me know.
People ask me what I am going to do with myself when she isn't here. Probably what I do when she is. Post entries, do the house cleaning and laundry, cook food, read and play games and continue to job hunt. Oh yes, and put money aside for when school starts.
Other than that I'm not sure. I'll definitely write about any adventures, you can be sure of that. I am off for now.
