Quiet

Things have been relatively quiet around here. Other than the cats running around like the crazy kitties they are, that is. We can't seem to go a day without Velvet being somehow offended by Dusty and hissing/growling at him, then running away so that he (not always but usually) ends up chasing her around until we get fed up. So, other than this, things have been quiet.

I have been reading and watching shows online. I watched the entire first season of Cover Me (can be found at Hulu) and even though it was a bit cheesy it wasn't a bad show. I thought it was pretty cool and I honestly wonder how the family got away with doing things the way they did. Basically it's a father who's an FBI agent and he includes his family on all of his undercover operations and even uses them for information gathering. He did this as a way of being close to them and actually home with the family instead of off who knows where with the family at home worrying if he'll ever walk through the door again. I actually think it's a great idea. I wonder if this has become practice in the current times and if not, why not?

I'm also working on a new flash portfolio to go along with the portfolio blog to show my work in a more traditional fashion. I've been having issues on how to proceed. It's so difficult because every time I start doing something I like it turns out that I don't like it. I am on my fifth or six reincarnation without even putting anything of them up. So far I like what I am working on and I hope it doesn't change. The least I could do is alter the one that I do have up but because I did it in two days and didn't include labels as anchors and so many other tiny details it would be a huge project just to tear it down and put it back together again. Starting over seemed to be the better of the two options. Hopefully this one will stick with me.

We've been stuck inside all week due to the high heat warnings. Which is just fine with me. I dislike being overly warm, which is rarely possible but does happen on occasion. Well. I am off. We are going to be going to the store for a few things and then enjoy the rest of the not so hot day. Laters.
