I found a new tutorial site and I’ve been playing around with some of the tutorials. One issue I have with the site: They have a pay to use section and tend to include some of those materials in their free tutorial section. Ok, nice way to get those who can afford it (ie: working and have extra cash) to sign up, but I can’t. Also, some of the tutorials do not specify all things that are going on in each step. It’s annoying. I still prefer Planet Photoshop, but I will try some more out at this other site.
Here’s what I made so far.
In this I took a photo of Little Lady and set it on fire. Sort of… Lots of layers. There was an image of fire involved in the making and the way they did it in the tutorial with the photo they used looked really great. I should have found something closer to it, but here you go.
You’ve seen me use her name in other designs (no longer here, but you can find it on my Coroflot page). There are a ton of layers in the tutorial and with this font it didn’t work properly so after completely most of it I went off on my own. Little Lady likes the city of Los Angeles for some reason so I included it in the background.
The site I’m finding the tutorials at is: PSD.Tuts+ which translates to Photoshop Tutorials Plus. Enjoy.
