Here you can see the wallpaper I’ve had on my desktop for about two or three days now. I had tried out quite a few before I settled on this one and then I didn’t really feel attracted to it. It was the butterfly. I just didn’t like it. I’m sure it was made by the artist on their own and it is nicely made but it didn’t appeal to me. I’m picky, I guess. So I told the Little Lady that I was going to make one just like it but better. And I did. WIth brushes. If you like this wallpaper, feel free to use it, you can get it here or you can go to Desktop Nexus and get it there, where they’ll even optimize it to your desktop settings. (Pretty cool, eh?)
Here is the one that I made using the Butterfly Garden brush from Aethereality.Net and StarScape brushes that I probably found at Brusheezy and don’t recall who the artist is. Here’s a note to people who make brushes, vectors, etc: Always include the author name in the name of the creation. When I choose an Aethereality brush I know it came from there. There are a few other brushes by others that include their name in the title, but it’s so much easier if everyone does it.
Anyway, this is my creation based on someone else’s idea. I know, horrible. I liked the one on top but it just didn’t appeal to me as much. I created mine in about 6 layers, 3 brushes, 2 gradients, 1 layer of rendered clouds and 1 text layer saying I made it and where the brushes came from. It’s set at 1200x800 for my monitor and you can use it as well if you want, just right click and save as background after opening up the larger image.
