Dear Readers,
My webhost sends the most sincerest apologies for this site being up and down yesterday. Then when it did come up, I was smart, and grabbed an archive from the webshell as soon as I could. Then a few moments after, everything went down again. Luckily, everything is still here and intact.
Whatever they did caused my MT folder's permissions to be changed to 000. So if there are any others out there hosted with IX Webhosting that use Movable Type (I use 3.35) and they can't tell you why you are getting a Forbidden 403 error when trying to login, check your permissions on the folder itself in the CGI-BIN.
Anyway, I am happy to be back up and running. I"ve had four emails from LinkWorth telling me they couldn't find the links I had placed on behalf of their advertiser, so I put in a ticket to let them know that the site has been up and down and once it's back up I will have them check the site over again.
I don't know why IX has been having so many issues lately. They won't give me any details about what's going on either. After my term with them is up I am considering moving to another host. I have 2 years and a few months before my term with them is up so I have plenty of time to consider a new host and plenty of time to save up the money for the move.
Ok, let's hope things are back to normal now. Laters.
